Diving from the mind-numbing height of 39,045 meters attaining a top speed of 1,342.8 kilometers per hour the jump lasted a total of 9:03 minutes with 4:20 minutes spend in the earth’s atmosphere. Interestingly during this historic jump Felix was wearing the El Primero Stratos Flyback Striking 10th Tribute to the Austrian man himself who was chosen as one of the ambassador’s for the premium watchmaking brand Zenith.
This watch was specially made for this mission which had a human being exposed to speeds of Mach 1 and the engraving on the back side of this watch “Learn to love what you have been taught to fear” truly coincides with the element of risk, fearlessness and a man’s will to push the limits.
