This YS-11 Tourer foldable electric bike developed by Bike Institute of Technology folds up into itself, so that one can easily pull it along like a suitcase with wheels. It comes with a special bag that can be put on it when you are not riding it on the streets. The most amazing thing is that it can fold and then unfold into a bicycle in not more than a minute’s time without any compromise in driving comfort or overall performance. YS-11 hybrid bike weights 12 Kgs including the weight of rechargeable lithium-ion electric battery (with 120 minutes of charging time) and motor (235W) which gives around 22km of mileage in normal mode on one charge. In the turbo mode the mileage drops to 13 km and in eco-mode it rises up to 35 km which is a good feature of this e-bike.
The folding hinge W method makes sure that there is no effect on the overall balance, strength and stiffness of the bike frame. Apart from that the bike has a dual pivot brake system on both the front and rear which ensures safe ride on the road. When folded the bike forms a double triangle frame shape to take up minimum space. YS-11 hybrid bike is priced at around 122,640 Yen ($1527) which might seem a bit too pricy, but hey, also consider the features it has.
