World’s first wind-powered Chinese car can hit 140 km/h with ease

Deeply obsessed with electronic gadgets right from his childhood, Tang Zhengping has come up with a very new innovative solution for powering up vehicles. Using wind energy as the driving force to charge up batteries on the electric generators courtesy the large spinning fan in front section of the car that looks more like a concept flying vehicle. To assist in power generation the vehicle is also fitted with solar energy wings just in case the winds siege to spin the fans enough for electricity generation.

Measuring 1m high and 3m long this one seated wind powered car can notch up close to 86.7 mph (140 kilometers per hour) and the battery once fully charged lasts for quite a considerable time (2-3 days) as compared to other normal electric cars.

Tang built this car in three months with $1,600 worth of material. Clearly this is one out-of-the-box creation and the future looks bright for further development of this vehicle in the meanwhile enjoy the wind powered car in the video below.
