Volkswagen Beetle Wire Project is a tribute to the classic car’s legacy

Couple of weeks earlier we saw the exquisite Mini Cooper S made completely from nails and this time around it is the 1989 Volkswagen Beetle that gets its own form of mesh wire art. Brainchild of two creative Mexican designers Karen Oetling and Juan Pablo Ramos Valadez, this cheeky project really looks good on first sight. The Volkswagen Beetle Wire Project car art reflects the aesthetics of the site and also built completely on site just to fill up the open green space around. The lines are drawn directly above 1989 dark color Beetle with the help of a window marker and masking tape to complete the see through look.

Thereafter the main wire framework turned into a life size 1:1 replica iron sculpture of the Volkswagen Beetle with the whole thing being painted in green color to blend with the backdrop in order to take the main focus away from this creation. The boot and doors open up just like the original car would do. To render the hypothetical image of the real car in the mind of the onlooker front and backlights of the original car are attached which in a way takes you through a mental adventure of recreating the whole car shape in your mind.
