Aesthetically designed Ni Ji Jing 11.5m Sports Trimaran Yacht by Benjamin Eddy defines luxury par excellence in the category of sports yacht. Generally aesthetic appeal is something that sports yachts lack and Benjamin Eddy focused primarily to this area with the inspiration that he got from Orca , Earthrace. The beauty of this innovative yacht design can be speculated from the fact that it is Golden A’ Design Award Winner in Yacht and Marine Vessels Design Category, 2011 – 2012. Ni Ji Jing is the name give to the design and it has a stable and sustainable layout.
This yacht design project was completed in about three months and the production technology mainly involved glass and Kevlar hull Aluminium body shell. The yacht can function from both exterior navigation area as well as interior navigation seat. To provide comfort and luxury to the passengers it has kitchenette with an attached fridge and a small bathroom where one can enjoy toilet and sink facilities.
The main principle, idea and inspiration behind the design involve conceptualization of a yacht that can be used for the sports and fun activity by the owners. Unlike the mega yachts you can dock it very close to the shore. Again a unique and rare feature of this design is that so far there is no sport Trimaran yacht that matches Ni Ji Jing. Benjamin also got a biological design inspiration from the whale body structure when he started with his project. This yacht design is definitely different as it has a unique length to it. The Trimaran format adds unseen individuality to this design too.
The research that was undertaken to accomplish this design was focused on regions like small power boats such as Fjord and Wally. There are no power boats in the market at present that are Trimarans and also not even in the conceptual stages. Therefore, Ni Ji Jing 11.5m Sports Trimaran Yacht by Benjamin Eddy has all that needed to be appreciated with a design award. With its engine power and the amazing layout this sure looks a lucrative yacht for luxury-seekers and fun enthusiasts.
