In ensuring you enjoy your Microsoft Edge experience to the fullest, Windows Clan brings you the guide to set homepage for your favorite website in it.
A few months ago when I started writing about Windows 10, I didn’t focus that much on Microsoft Edge with the view that what different can it offer from Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Instead I chose to center my writing around registry tweaking and other personalization features. Now, I realize that neglecting Microsoft Edge was not a good idea after all.
Microsoft Edge has finally come into existence after a lot of hard work put into it by Microsoft developers. After the flop attempt to reinvigorate Internet Explorer by introducing Internet Explorer 11, developers have completely turned their attention to making Microsoft Edge a browser that stands shoulder to shoulder with other heavyweights such as Chrome, Firefox, Knightly etc.
Microsoft Edge has some very nice features embedded into its beautiful theme. Apart from the customary features such as InPrivate browsing, Edge has the ability to export favorites to Chrome and Edge sync. These features bring automation in browsing which removes certain hassles such as resetting your personal settings every time when using Edge on other devices etc.
Another of Edge’s fantastic features which I personally found pleasing was to be able to set homepage in it for your favorite website. This feature allows you to select a website that you always like to access first and let Edge automatically open it for you. You simply need to open Edge and edge will load that website for you. Read below the jump to set homepage of your favorite website.
Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge.
Step 2: Click on the More Actions button in the top right corner.
Step 3: Click on Settings.
Step 4: Under the options below Open With, click on Specific Page or Pages.
Step 5: Click on the drop down menu under Specific Page or Pages and select Custom.
Step 6: In the text field that appears, enter the URL of the website and click on Add as shown in the image below.
Optional Step 7: If you wish to open a blank page instead of a website, click on the drop down menu under Open new tabs with (in the aforementioned picture) and select A blank page from the drop down menu that appears.
Gracias mi amigos!
