According to recent reports, users have repeatedly complained about their People App not working properly in Windows 10. Are you one of them?
The People App was one of the best Windows apps that came in when Microsoft introduced Windows 8. It was one of the many so called Universal group of Apps whose job was to provide users with daily utilities. They were so called Universal Apps because the were available on both Windows 10 mobile and desktop versions.
Quite a lot of them, developed by Microsoft, come in built-in with Windows 10 but if you don’t have them in your PC for some reason, you can download them through the Windows Store. Universal apps include the Mail App, Weather App, Xbox app, Alarms and Clock etc.
These apps are of daily use to most users that like to keep everything synchronized and updated. The mail app provides a good sync between your computer and your email account. It can be customized according to your needs as one of the many things you can do to it are disable its notifications to maintain secrecy.
The People App is one such app that has been developed exclusively for those users who are social media crazy or those who have lots of contacts to keep in touch with. Whether its Facebook, Twitter, Tout etc. People App is the place where you can add all of these in one place and access them from there. It is one of those handful of apps that received unanimous appreciation around the world because of the way it makes things accessible for users.
It was doing a great job in Windows 8/8.1 but we’re hearing reports of People App not working properly. Users say that the app is failing to add social media apps to it which makes it nothing more than an average address book.
Due to this public outrage, Microsoft scheduled an update to fix this issue. While the update has been recently rolled out, People App’s functionality hasn’t improved at all. We have no idea as to why this has happened but what is sure to happen is that users will be dismayed at Microsoft for not being able to fix one of their most used universal apps.
Reporting to Microsoft Support yielded no results previously. Fingers crossed, it might be fixed soon as more and more complaints start to pour in.
