Limited Edition Romain Jerome Liberty-DNA watch celebrates Statue of Liberty’s 125th anniversary

Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome has a profound liking for making watches from exotic and rare material like the one which had fusion metal from the underwater wreck of Titanic. This time around to honor the Statue of Liberty and celebrate its 125th anniversary, Romain Jerome have created Liberty-DNA, a timekeeping watch that is made from the particles and actual metal pieces of Statue of Liberty. It is a result of their collaboration with The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation and Gold Leaf Corporation that such a rare limited edition watch could be presented to the world.

Romain Jerome Liberty-DNA will be available only in 125 Limited Edition pieces and it has every little detail that portrays the image of Statue of Liberty. The 12 spikes on the dial emulate the famous crown of the towering Statue of Liberty and to give that signature feel to this Romain Jerome timepiece, the dial is embedded with metal particles of the statue so that with time it acquires the oxidized copper color reminiscent of the statue itself.

The brown alligator leather strap is also made in such a way that it complements the whole feel of the watch and the facetted hands are bronze colored too. Medallion on the case back of Liberty-DNA shows the spirit of flame of Liberty lighting up the stars and stripe of American flag. So this is the perfect way to show love for America and Romain Jerome give every reason to that courtesy the Liberty-DNA watch.
