Tower speakers have been my weakness, I am really floored by every expansive-looking tower speaker, and trust me this Lanco’s new iPT 6, 6.1 speaker system is not at all different. Standing almost a meter tall with substance, this £200 (approx. $330) speaker system also doubles as an iPod/iPhone docking and charging station. Fitted in with the very innovative Sonic Emotion 3D chipset, the speaker is refined to emit 6.1 surround sound experience from this single elegant unit.
The IPT 6 works as a docking station for the iPod/iPhone (all versions) and also charges the Apple goddies, besides providing 60W of power via 6 speakers and additional 20W through a subwoofer. Bellow the docking station the tower has a big LED display, and also has an analogue auxiliary input and composite video out to plug in other audio devices and TV respectively.
The IPT 6 has a built-in FM radio and also makes place for an alarm clock with sleep timer that can be activated by the iPhone/iPod or FM radio. The speaker system has the much needed Bass and treble controls, and you can play all your media collection from away from the tower using its remote control. For all, who like me, have fallen for this tower speaker, can choose from Black, Orange and Gray colors it’s available in.
