Microsoft’s Build 2016 conference is just around the corner. If you are an avid Windows enthusiast, you will definitely want to catch the event’s happenings live as they happen. Learn how you can live stream Build 2016 from March 30th to April 1st.
Like last year, Microsoft will be globally streaming Build 2016 live from Moscone Center in SF, CA. Although these events aren’t as heavily followed as Apple’s, they still have enough of a fan following to merit a livestream. Plus, it really helps Microsoft have a more impactful marketing.

Now, here’s the deal: as of March 28th 2016 when I write this post, we do not have the live stream link for Build 2016 yet. Microsoft is expected to launch the live stream in just under 48 hours. We will update this post with the embedded link, or share a how to tutorial for setting up the stream on your PC. In all likelihood, it will be embedded and unlike Apple, it will be open to everyone.

About The Microsoft Build Developer Conference
Microsoft first held the Build developer conference back in 2011 in San Francisco, CA. It was a relatively humble event back then, covering just Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 and related development tools. Since then, it has expanded to include not just Windows-related announcements but also Windows Phone (now Windows Mobile), Azure, and more niche tech like the HoloLens.
What To Expect From Microsoft Build 2016
Build 2016 is expected to be quite exciting, particularly for Windows 10 users:
- At least two new ‘highly requested’ features will be announced for Live Tiles
- Cortana will receive new features that will bring it closer in features and flexibility to Google Now and Apple Siri
- New Windows 10 third-party apps for Facebook, Instagram and other long-awaited services
- Microsoft will discuss its roadmap for Windows 10 Mobile. It’s been struggling in recent times, so we hope they’ll announce exciting feature on that front
