WiFi is one of the most stunning inventions ever made in human history. It epitomizes the exponential growth of technology the world has experienced in the last 20 years or so. It is one of those luxurious creations that has aided to increased automation in the modern world and has made life much more easier for us to live.
Before the WiFi, we only had wired broadband and DSL connections. They were extremely untidy as they required both time and space to be installed. Wires had to be connected to your landline number and the worst part is that the internet connectivity was only limited to the computer the DSL cable was connected to. To further add to the misery, if for any reason your telephone line gets damaged or broken, the DSL connection would disappear.
Come WiFis and now you could sit and surf the web anywhere you want to, within the radii of routers. This has accelerated the productivity of the world as now multiple things can be done at one time without the need for someone to get up and access a computer.
The WiFi’s are now everywhere and it is hard to imagine us living without it. As everything evolves so did the ability to manage WiFi networks. One of them is to be able to create a hotspot. Now you can turn your PC into a hotspot courtesy of a third party app called Virtual Router Manager. It is available on CodePlex, a website used to host open source software.
Using Virtual Router Manager To Turn Your PC Into A WiFi Hotspot
Step 1: Install Virtual Router Manager from the link below.

Step 2: After installation, open the app. Its interface is as shown in the image below.
Step 3: Change the name in the field called Network Name (SSID). The SSID will be the name by which your hotspot will be visible to other devices.
Step 4: Assign it a password and click Start Virtual Router as shown in the image below.
Step 5: Simply enable WiFi on any connecting device, put in the password of your virtual router and enjoy surfing.
This is a much simpler alternative to ad-hoc networks. Simply install and enjoy without having to worry about command line instructions.
