Windows 10’s Mail app is no ordinary email management application. Among many other features, you can disable conversation view if you prefer not to group emails by conversations, over seeing them sequentially.
You’ve all heard about universal apps. If not, then they’re a set of apps that are developed to run both on Windows 10’s desktop and mobile versions. These apps come in built-in on both Windows 10 mobile OS as well as on Windows 10 PC.
They almost have the same functionality as well as a very nice looking UI. Windows apps are synonymous with the word beauty. We’ve previously talked and talked about them being one of the most beautiful applications on any app store. Some even laud them as the benchmarks for their user experience as well.
The Windows Mail App is no different. It has brought users much better control over their email accounts. While Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail etc. only allow you to access your email account which you have created on their website, you can simply add all of your email accounts to the Mail App. This removes the need for you to manually access your email accounts separately and also makes it easier for you to access mail which you receive on different accounts.
Apart from this, the Mail App lets you change its color and theme and also turn off its notifications. Another thing you can do is disable conversation view in it. The Mail App cleanly lines up the mails you receive. However, for preferential reasons, you can disable conversation view. It is similar to when you’re using your smartphone while travelling and trying to hide its screen away from your siblings to avoid them from peeking at your activity.
Steps to disable conversation view in Mail App
Step 1: Open Mail App.
Step 2: In the bottom of your screen, click on the gear shaped Settings button.
Step 3: In the menu that appears on the right, click on Conversation.
Step 4: Turn off Show messages arranged by conversation as shown in the image below.
That’s it. Now you’ll see all your emails sequentially, rather than being grouped into conversations.
Not everything comes at a cost.
