Languages. Without them, communication would be a mess. To work easily on your computer, it must be set up in a language that you can easily understand. If it’s not, change language in Windows 10 to use your computer with ease.
Day by day, second by second our machines are becoming smarter and faster. The first computer had 256 Kilobytes of RAM whereas nowadays 24 GB RAM has ventured forth into our markets. A huge leap in terms of technology has made the world a better and a smarter place after all.
Of course, there is still much room for improvement as everything is evolving 24 hours a day but I salute the human power which is keeping pace with this evolution.
An important aspect of machines becoming smarter is their ability to understand various languages. A huge amount of improvements have been made in this regard through the implementation of Natural Language Processing and speech input. Apple’s Siri, Samsung’s S Voice and now Windows’ Cortana are some of the rapidly emerging names when it comes to speech input processing that are making our devices much easier to use.
Windows 10 comes with a much refined way to add and change language to suit your needs. Multiple languages can be added which can be changed easily. This is particularly helpful when users of different origins need to access a common computer. To change language in Windows 10, read on after the jump.
First, open the Settings app.
Then, click on Time and Language: Speech, region, date.
From the left side menu, click on Region and language.
Then, click on Add a language and from the resulting window, select any language of your choice as shown in the images below.
Then:
After you’re done selecting, it will download the necessary files for the language of your choice. Let it complete its processing and then simply click on it. Then click on options. From the resulting window, click on Download language pack and let it finish.
After its done, click on Set as default to complete the process and move to your new language as shown in the image below.
NOTE: You have to re-login to make sure the language has changed.
