Microsoft Edge is by default set to search for everything that you write, in the URL field, in the Bing search engine. Bing is Microsoft’s own search engine. I’m having problems with Google not working well due to unknown reasons but Bing has fulfilled that empty spot very nicely.

Steps to change Edge default search engine
Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge.
Step 2: Click on the More Actions button in the top right corner.
Step 3: Click on Advanced Settings.
Step 4: Scroll down to find Search in the Address bar with.
Step 5: Click on www.bing.com.
Step 6: From the drop down menu, click on Add new as shown in the image below.
Step 7: Choose a website and click Add as default.
