Homemade futuristic looking human powered velomobile rides the streets

Created by Leonardo Leuci, resident of a small town Saluggia in Italy this trike was initially made for breaking the speed land records in the 80s. Yes it’s been that long since the idea for this three wheeled futuristic looking trike unearthed and for unknown reasons it took so long to materialize it. Leonardo has been an avid bike frame builder and runs his own shop in Saluggia and this project has to be considered one of the best he embarked on so far. The bike has front two wheel drive system with three 700C wheels in total. Having a 5 speed gear drive train with 46 front sprocket and rear 13-32 there is only one brake on the rear for now on this trike.
The velomobile frame is made from Columbus steel tubes and the fiberglass body gives it the light weight credentials and front opening spoiler and venture openings make sure there is ventilation for the bike’s rider at all times as he/she pedals this human-powered bicycle forward.
