Allow Apps Access Through Firewall In Windows 10

The firewall mostly stops every app from improperly communicating out that could be bad for your computer. Sometimes, you might want to turn it off to allow apps access through Firewall such as Visual Studio etc. Here’s how.

Microsoft prioritizes user’s security over everything else. It is something which cannot be taken easily. It is a very delicate issue particularly as the world has seen major data breaches in the past and present. This has brought users to question just how well is Microsoft’s Windows equipped with keeping them cyber safe. This has led Microsoft to go full, raging hard on how you can manage your security and privacy in Windows 10.

The first thing that received a significant upgrade is the SmartScreen. The SmartScreen is an anti-phishing and anti-malware tool. It is ready at all times on the vulnerable borders of Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer to fend off any malicious attacks on your computer.

The second feature that received a heavier armor was the Windows Firewall. Firewall is a network security system which manages network traffic in and out of a computing device. It is programmable and hence can be set to work on restrictions or security rules which a user may require. It is a membrane between external and internal computer networks.

Windows firewall’s basic aim is to ensure no type of malicious content can hinder our computer’s security. In that process, it tends to block a lot of things which sometimes are useful to us. I was recently using Microsoft’s Visual Studio and time after time after time, it simply was not displaying the output console of my code. I had to turn it off to make it function properly. It occurred to me later on, why not allow apps access through firewall instead of completely turning it off?
