For people who have to depend on their commuting from one place to another using a walking stick know very well that it isn’t as simple as it seems. You have to get past other people who sometimes don’t even bother to give you walking space and in the night time it gets difficult to see. So it won’t be a bad idea to have loud horn and a flashlight embedded onto your walking stick for good. Elliot Erwitt has designed a Walking Stick for Danese in collaboration with Carlotta de Bevilacqua that has been created for his own use.

The walking stick is fitted with a vintage bicycle horn to alert other people around in case there is too much crowd and a bike headlight too which exemplifies the functionality a notch further. Of course the idea for this device has been influenced by the art of Marcel Duchamp which vouches for “ready-made” aesthetics.
