Windows 10 is full of exciting shortcuts which you can use to help you do certain things much quicker.

The Taskbar is an amazing assistant. It silently carries everything that we want it to. From the time of its inception till today, it has undergone significant changes in its UI as well as its functionality. You can add folder to taskbar, change its icon sizes etc.

Another thing you can do with your Taskbar is pin items to it. This means that you can create shortcuts of the programs you frequently use on the Taskbar for quicker access. To make this access even more rapid, you can access pinned items from keyboard without having to use your mouse.

This can be very handy indeed as accessing different things from your keyboard tends to be much faster than accessing them from your mouse. Follow the steps below to access pinned items from keyboard.

Step 1: Pin any program or app of your choice to the Taskbar. To change its location on the Taskbar, simply drag and drop it wherever you want to place it.

Step 2: Press Windows+1 to access it if you’ve placed it on the location immediately to the right of the Task View button. Note that you have to press 1 from the list of numbers above the QWERTY keyboard as shown in the image below.

You can access all your pinned programs by pressing Windows+number of its location on the Taskbar. Note that the 1st location starts from the first program from the right of the Task View button if you have that button on your Taskbar.
