If you live outside of America and want to change weather to Celsius rather than Fahrenheit on the calendar, today is your lucky day!
The Windows 10 Calendar has its ups and downs, but when it comes down to being useful, it does indeed do so in a very meaningful manner. It has already helped shorten my trips to Google Calendar for beginners, but if you too are irked by the small displays of temperatures in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius, find out how to change that reading to your convenience!
By default the calendar shows you a reading of high / low temps of the day, but living in countries outside of America, one would assume the end of the world with the dates above had the degrees been in Celsius!
To help remove this confusion over you and make you an effective planner of your schedule without having to go to weather sites or Google for a Fahrenheit to Celsius conversion, you can have the app show you Celsius High / Low temps of the day and be done with the problem, once and for all!
STEP 1:
Click on the small gear icon on the bottom left of the app, highlighted for you below:
STEP 2:
When you have done so, a slide-out menu will open on the right side of the app. Click on the Weather Settings:
STEP 3:
You will now see a drop down box under Temperature Scale, choose whichever option is appropriate for you and voila! You are done.
As soon as you select the temperature scale relevant to your needs or interests, the changes will apply automatically. No need for a reboot or restarting the app. Here are the original weather readings now shown in Celsius:
As you can see, the difference in measurement is substantially different. This helps most people plan their day with ease and convenience instead of having to translate a temperature scale from an alien region to a local region. Hence why if you don’t follow the Fahrenheit scale, its recommended you change weather to Celsius to avoid any further inconvenience in your use of the Calendar app in Windows 10.
What are your thoughts on the temperature scale? Do you prefer your readings in Celsius or Fahrenheit? Let us know in the comments section below!
