Steps to enable / disable automatic maintenance in Windows 10:

Step 1: Open Control Panel.

Step 2: Click on System and Security.

Step 3: Click on Security and maintenance.

Step 4: Click on Maintenance to expand it.

Step 5 to manually enable automatic maintenance: Click on Start maintenance as shown in the image below. Allow if prompted for UAC.

Step 6 to disable automatic maintenance: If maintenance is in progress, click on Stop maintenance as shown in the image below.

It is strongly recommended by us that features like automatic maintenance, Windows Firewall and SmartScreen should always be turned on as they protect your Windows from harmful and malicious software / malware and keeps it updated.
