Here’s a trick that will turn off welcome screen in Microsoft Edge in the blink of an eye.
We all know what Microsoft Edge is, how badly it was needed in Windows and what it brings to the plate. It’s been quite a while now that it has been competing with older, more widespread browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox etc. and so far it has proved to be right there at the top. It does have some missing features though such as lack of extensions, and there being only toggle between two themes etc. though.
Missing features aside, Microsoft Edge has many decent, unique things to offer. Some of these include being able to set a specific website as your homepage, annotate websites with Edge Web Notes etc. Web Notes is one of the most exciting features Edge has to offer. It completely changes the feel users have while surfing in it. I for one personally feel like working in Samsung’s Note series while annotating websites. It is remarkable! Microsoft deserves some praise for that.
This was just a small piece of a bigger puzzle. If you truly want to get the best out of your Edge experience, head over to our website to get to know what else it has to offer.
Recently while using Edge, I came across the welcome to Microsoft Edge screen multiple times. By my knowledge, it was only supposed to appear when you either reset Edge or when you open it for the very first time.
The welcome to Microsoft Edge screen has valuable instructions that help new users become familiar with what it has to offer but for those who are already friends with it, the welcome screen popping up every time is nothing more than a nuisance. The reason that it pops up every time is that maybe it has been set to open as Start page every time Edge gets opened but don’t be alarmed. Follow the steps below to disable welcome screen in Edge.
Steps to turn off welcome screen:
Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge.
Step 2: Click on the more actions button in the top right corner.
Step 3: Click on Settings in the drop down menu.
Step 4: Now check whether the URL below is written in the text box under Custom as shown below. If it is there, remove it and your work is done.
