World Championship winning Scuderia Ferrari Engine V8 F1 up for auction

Ferrari seem to be having a tough time in last couple of seasons in Formula-1 and this year’s season seems to be panning out the same way for them as Alonso is trying muscle and bone to push them forward, whereas Massa is having an unforgettable time. But who can forget that unforgettable era when Scuderia Ferrari ruled the roost with Michael Schumacher propelling them to heights no other formula-1 team could attain for such a long time. And one can surely credit this golden rein of Ferrari’s dominance to the development and engineering team who came up with flawless design of the Ferrari Engine V8 F1 with which they won 8 Grands Prix during the 2008 formula-1 season.

The 2.4 litre 90 degree 8-cylinder having howling power of 730 horses (horse power) that pushed Scuderia Ferrari forward into winning the 16th World Constructors’ title is up for auction. Weighing a minimum 95 kilos and punching 18,000 rpm (according to Formula-1 regulations) this very engine saw Felipe Massa across the line in first place at the Brazilian Grand Prix only to be heart-broken later on as he lost the championship by just one point!
