Real-size Lego Ferrari F1 race car shown in Hong Kong

After having seen a host of Ferrari replicas built in Lego Bricks, I never thought we’d be in for even better or even more realistic replicas – rather a real Ferrari made in Lego itself. But we are in for a surprise – Shell, Lego and Ferrari have collaborated to build a real-size Ferrari F1 race car with Lego Bricks for promotion in Hong Kong. The Lego Ferrari with real tires and seat belt is heavier than an original Ferrari 150° Italia and is result of 810 odd hours of hard work and perfection.

They wouldn’t tell us how many Lego bricks have been used in building this scorcher of a Ferrari F1 racer because Shell Hong Kong is running a competition asking locals the answer on how many bricks have gone into building the Lego Ferrari – mind it, they aren’t giving out the Ferrari to the winner. Hit the jump to see a video and more images to get a closer look at the Lego Ferrari F1.
