Edge browser is easily one of Microsoft’s biggest victories in Windows 10, but if you feel like you made a wrong turn somewhere on the journey of exploring the new browser, this guide will tell you how to reset edge from scratch and give it a fresh start.

How To Import Favorites From Edge To Chrome
Now that we have the yellow tape established, let’s get this guide started. (As always, you will find a ready made file at the end of the guide)
First off, right-click on your desktop. Select New followed by Text Document.
Now, copy-paste the following text into the body.
remove-item $env:localappdataPackagesMicrosoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe* -recurse -Force 2>$null Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml" -Verbose}
Navigate to File in the Top left of the toolbar and choose Save As. You can save it under any name that you wish, making sure the name ends with .ps1. Under File types, select All Files and save.
Now, once you have chosen a place to save your file, navigate to it. Right-click and choose “Run with Powershell”
When you see a blue dialog box, Press A followed by Enter, it will automatically do everything for you.
Once Powershell has finished running and is gone from your taskbar, you will be able to run Microsoft Edge like a newborn baby. It will greet you with a familiar welcome screen that you can once again start over with.
