If the date Windows 10 is showing you does not coincide with your local format, no need to smash your laptop into the wall. Simply change date format through the following steps.
Windows 10 is by far the most beautiful and well crafted of all Windows. Apart from the confusing silver-white color of the Titlebar which can be fixed by the Aero Glass effect, one cannot find much wrong with the new UI. Its vibrant colors, nice live tiles and distinct customization features such as making Start menu wider are among its hallmarks.
Are you a customization freak? If so, there is no need to feel ashamed of it as your computer is something which you are going to see many times a day. Wanting it to seem beautiful at first sight is what you would definitely want.
While the UI of Windows 10 might already be awesome, every user has his own taste and own way of looking at things. This was something Microsoft developers were aware of and in order to respect the diverse thinking of users, they allowed supreme customization in Windows 10.
When it comes to the date, Windows 10 has been programmed to automatically select the date format that is most popular in your region by default. However, it won’t necessarily pick out the type of date correctly if you feel like its format should be long or short. If you feel the date format is not of your taste, change date format through the following steps.
Step 1: Open Settings app.
Step 2: Click on Time and language: Speech, region, date.
Step 3: In Date and Time, scroll down to find Change date and time formats.
Step 4: From the resulting window, select the type of date you want to change format for and select its new type as shown in the image below.
After you’re done with it, your date will instant change to the type of format you wish it to be in. So, you can check for different formats first and then, before exiting settings, select the format that suits your style best.
