Facing problems such as screen flickering or display driver crashes on your Surface Book or Pro 4? Get the system firmware update 12/3/2015 now to fix it.
Microsoft has made waves with the latest release of Microsoft Surface Book and Surface Pro 4. While the Surface Book has recently hit the stores, the Surface Pro tablet series has been lingering around from some time now.
The Surface Pro 4 is the latest of a list of the newly inducted Surface series introduced by Microsoft. Its design is truly one of a kind. It basically is a tablet but you can purchase a detachable keyboard that users can attach/detach according to their needs. The Surface becomes a tablet when not attached to the keyboard and turns into a laptop when connected to it. Unique and truly beautiful.
The Surface Book has just made its way to commercial shelves on the 26th of October this year. It has been designed on the basis of a 2-1 convertible tablet that can be folded like a laptop. It is an ingenious release because of the way Microsoft has implemented its design. The Surface Book weighs a meager 1.5 kilograms when being operated with a keyboard and slashes its weight by half to 0.7 kilograms when being used as a tablet only. The way Microsoft has kept in check the weight and size of the keyboard is commendable.
Graphics Issues In Surface Book And Pro 4
Both Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 come with Windows 10. Since its release, users have heavily spent on these two gadgets to check them out as both of these truly feature a unique and artistic design. However, users using these two have reported frequent problems with its display. Some have reported screen flickering while others say that the display completely goes nuts sometimes which is probably due to the display driver being corrupted.
These didn’t really go down well with users as the most expensive version of the Surface Book alone costs $3200. So, work began for Microsoft developers and the release of the system firmware update 12/3/2015 was announced which you can now update by going to the Settings > System and Updates > Windows Updates.
What’s New In System Firmware Update 12/3/2015?
System firmware update 12/3/2015 reportedly contained the HD Graphics 520 driver update (v20.19.15.4326) provides display stability and Surface Display Calibration driver update (v1.1.381.0) which supports compatibility with the updated graphics driver.
Fingers crossed, the System firmware update 12/3/2015 might just be the end of all display related bugs in the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4.
