If you’re following the world of 3D printing, you’d be familiar with one name that personifies cool 3D printing – JC Karich. Having impressed us in the past, JC Karich is back with his new 3D printed headphones – Low Fi High Tech Headphones. Basically a research project to find way to create a pair of fully functional audio headphones without any manufactured parts – the Low Fi High Tech Headphones is made using only 3D printed parts, wire, tape, magnets and solders. The headband, ear parts and speaker parts of the headphones however are 3D printed.
JC Karich says, ‘creating right combination of 3D printed elements’ was the most challenging task in making these 3D printed headphones. Karich found it difficult initially, but he has very amicably inserted the copper wire in the speakers and has finely placed the magnet in the acoustic case. The Low Fi High Tech Headphones have the standard 3.5 jack to work with all kinds of device. Hit the jump to see the video of the fully functional 3D printed headphones below. You’ll surely be mesmerized with the sound quality.
